FEDERAL COURT OF APPEALS STRIKES DOWN TEXAS LAW TO BAN SEX TOYS

02/14/2K8 Texas, USA The 5th District Federal Court of Appeals has struck down a Texas law that banned the production and selling of "obscene" devices with a punishment of up to two years in prison. The 5th District Court sited the ruling of the Supreme Court in Lawrence and Garner vs. Texas which ruled against criminalizing sexual conduct between consenting same-sex adults on the grounds that it was unconstitutional by infringing on the liberties of adults. It also determined that the law was also discriminating due to the fact it only applied to the sexual conduct between same-sex couples. The 5th District Court determined that the Texas law to ban sex toys also infringed on the liberties of consenting adults and was an attempt to enforce their morality in the bedroom of others.

N.H. SUPREME COURT OVERTURNS VIRTUAL CHILD PORNOGRAPHY VERDICT

01/22/2K8 Concord, NH Defendant Marshall Zidell of Somerville, MA was the official photographer at a youth camp for 20 years. To no ones knowledge he had taken the faces of 14 and 15 years and digitally placed them on the bodies of adults in sexually explicit poses. He was discovered when he accidentally included a few of his composite shots on a CD of photos submitted for the camp's year book in 2002. Mr. Zidell appealed his conviction on the grounds that the photos were never meant for distribution and no child was actually sexually abused in their creations.

The New Hampshire supreme court agreed with Mr. Zidell's defense, that since no actual children were sexual abused by his composite photos and there was no attempt to distribute or benefit financially by the use of the children's faces (meaning the children would never have even known the pictures were created.) The majority decision by the N.H. Supreme Court drew heavily on the court case of The Free Speech Coalition vs. Ashcroft where the Supreme Court determined that virtual child pornography (computer simulated child pornography; where no actual children are used) is protected under the First Amendment as Free Speech.

STUDY: FEMALE BISEXUALITY IS NOT A PHASE

United States The Journal of Development Psychology has just published a ten year study by Lisa M. Diamond of the University of Utah. The study which followed the lives of 80 women who determined themselves as either lesbian, bisexual, or undecided concluded that bisexuality was not a phase that women go through. The research started in the women's formative teen years to the early twenties. Some women who did identify themselves as either lesbian or undecided at times changed their definition of their own sexuality, but women who at any time indentified themselves as bisexual rarely changed their self definition to lesbian or straight. The income of a full-time Chicago street-walker is less than $20,000 a year. If the women have a pimp they make a little bit more even when giving up 25% of their income, although the women reported being beaten at least once a month. 3% of the sex they engaged in was given for free to Chicago police officers. Fridays were the busiest days for the street walkers, with Mondays being their slowest. N.H. SUPREME COURT OVERTURNS VIRTUAL CHILD PORNOGRAPHY VERDICT
01/22/2K8	Concord, NH	Defendant Marshall Zidell of Somerville, MA was the official photographer at a youth camp for 20 years. To no ones knowledge he had taken the faces of 14 and 15 years and digitally placed them on the bodies of adults in sexually explicit poses. He was discovered when he accidentally included a few of his composite shots on a CD of photos submitted for the camp's year book in 2002. Mr. Zidell appealed his conviction on the grounds that the photos were never meant for distribution and no child was actually sexually abused in their creations. The New Hampshire supreme court agreed with Mr. Zidell's defense, that since no actual children were sexual abused by his composite photos and there was no attempt to distribute or benefit financially by the use of the children's faces (meaning the children would never have even known the pictures were created.) The majority decision by the N.H. Supreme Court drew heavily on the court case of The Free Speech Coalition vs. Ashcroft where the Supreme Court determined that virtual child pornography (computer simulated child pornography; where no actual children are used) is protected under the First Amendment as Free Speech. The income of a full-time Chicago street-walker is less than $20,000 a year. If the women have a pimp they make a little bit more even when giving up 25% of their income, although the women reported being beaten at least once a month. 3% of the sex they engaged in was given for free to Chicago police officers. Fridays were the busiest days for the street walkers, with Mondays being their slowest.
